Belgium has 10 provinces: five in Flanders and five in Wallonia. The Brussels-Capital Region belongs to no province. This quiz asks for all 11 areas.
You type the name of each area, and the map colors that area in place.
How to play
- Type names in any order. A correct name colors the area on the map at once.
- You can start to type right away. You do not need to click the answer box first.
- English, Dutch and French names all count. "Antwerp", "Antwerpen" and "Anvers" score the same province.
- A timer tracks your run. The quiz saves your best score and best time.
- If you are stuck, use the give up button. The map then shows the areas you missed.
What counts in this quiz
- The 10 provinces and the Brussels-Capital Region.
What's not included — and why
- Cities are not answers. Ghent and Bruges do not score — East Flanders and West Flanders do.
- The three regions of Belgium are not answers. Flanders and Wallonia group the provinces, but they do not score.
Good to know

- Flemish Brabant and Walloon Brabant were one province, Brabant, until 1995.
- The province of Luxembourg is larger than the country of Luxembourg next to it.
- Antwerp has the most people of the 10 provinces.
