Colombia has 32 departments plus the capital district of Bogotá — 33 answers in total. This quiz shows a blank map of Colombia. You type the name of each one, and the map colors that area in place.
How to play
Type names in any order. A correct name colors the area on the map at once.
You can start to type right away. You do not need to click the answer box first.
Accents are not required. "Boyaca" counts for Boyacá, and "Choco" counts for Chocó.
"San Andrés" counts for San Andrés and Providencia, the island department in the Caribbean.
A timer tracks your run. The quiz saves your best score and best time.

What counts in this quiz
The 32 departments and the capital district of Bogotá.
What's not included — and why
Cities are not answers. Medellín, Cali and Cartagena do not score — Antioquia, Valle del Cauca and Bolívar do.
Natural regions are not answers. The Amazon and the Caribbean coast group departments, but they do not score.
Good to know
Amazonas is the largest department by area, and most of it is rain forest.
Bogotá sits about 2,640 meters above sea level. It is one of the highest capital cities in the world.
San Andrés and Providencia lies about 700 km from the mainland, closer to Nicaragua than to the Colombian coast.
Cundinamarca surrounds Bogotá, but the capital district is not part of it.
