Mexico has 31 states and the capital, Mexico City — 32 answers in total. This quiz shows a blank map of Mexico. You type the name of each one, and the map colors that area in place.
Two areas are called México: the state around the capital, and the capital itself. The word "Mexico" scores both areas at the same time.
How to play
Type names in any order. A correct name colors the area on the map at once.
You can start to type right away. You do not need to click the answer box first.
Accents are not required. "Yucatan" counts for Yucatán, and "Nuevo Leon" counts for Nuevo León.
"Mexico" scores the state and the capital together. You can also type "State of México" and "Mexico City" one at a time.
"Distrito Federal" and "Ciudad de México" both score Mexico City.
A timer tracks your run. The quiz saves your best score and best time.
If you are stuck, use the give up button. The map then shows the areas you missed.

What's not included — and why
