Sweden has 21 counties. Swedes call a county a län. This quiz shows a blank map of Sweden. You type the name of each county, and the map colors that county in place.
How to play
Type names in any order. A correct name colors the county on the map at once.
You can start to type right away. You do not need to click the answer box first.
The word "county" is not required. "Stockholm" counts for Stockholm County.
Swedish letters are not required. "Skane" counts for Skåne, and "Orebro" counts for Örebro.

What's not included — and why
Cities that do not name a county are not answers. Gothenburg and Malmö do not score — Västra Götaland and Skåne do.
The historic provinces (landskap) are not answers where they differ from a county. Lappland does not score.
Good to know
Norrbotten is the largest county. It covers about one quarter of Sweden.
Stockholm County has the most people.
Gotland is an island county in the Baltic Sea, and it has the fewest people.
Sweden's county system goes back to a reform in 1634.
