This quiz uses the classic map of Vietnam with 63 provinces and cities. In July 2025 Vietnam merged them into 34, but most maps and quizzes still show the 63.
You type the name of each province, and the map colors that province in place.
How to play
Type names in any order. A correct name colors the province on the map at once.
You can start to type right away. You do not need to click the answer box first.
Vietnamese accents are not required. "Dak Lak" counts for Đắk Lắk.
"Saigon" and "HCMC" both count for Ho Chi Minh City.
"Hue" counts for Thừa Thiên Huế.
A timer tracks your run. The quiz saves your best score and best time.
If you are stuck, use the give up button. The map then shows the provinces you missed.
What counts in this quiz
The 58 provinces and 5 major cities of the pre-2025 layout.
What's not included — and why
The regions of Vietnam are not answers. The Mekong Delta groups provinces, but it does not score.
Good to know
