Instagram Followers — Higher or Lower?
This quiz shows two famous people side by side. You tap the person with more Instagram followers.
The deck holds 300 accounts from all parts of the follower ranking. Cristiano Ronaldo has 678 million followers, and the smallest account in the deck has 1.9 million. Footballers, musicians, actors, athletes and creators are all in it, so a long streak needs knowledge of more than one part of pop culture. A run ends on the first wrong tap.
How to play
Two people are shown. The follower count for the person on the left is already on screen.
Tap the person you think has more followers.
A correct tap shows the number, moves the challenger to the left, and deals the next person. Your streak goes up by one.
A wrong tap ends the run. Your score is the streak you reached.
Your best streak is in the top bar. A new record is saved and counts on the leaderboard.
Go through all 300 people without a miss and you complete the chain, at a streak of 299.
What counts in this quiz
300 people, from 678 million followers down to 1.9 million. 20 of them are above 100 million and 113 are below 10 million, so a pair can be a close call or a landslide.
The deck is a sample across the whole ranking, not the top 300. The quiz takes a share of the accounts from each part of the list, so a superstar can meet a person much further down.
Only people are in the deck. Brand accounts, club accounts and group accounts are left out, so every card is one portrait.
The follower counts are a snapshot from August 2026, rounded to the nearest 100,000.
Two people are never compared when their counts are close. The quiz needs a gap of at least 3%, so no question is a coin flip.
The cards are dealt in random order and no card shows a rank. The order gives you no clue.
What's not included — and why
Follower counts change every day. The quiz scores against its snapshot, not against the count you see on Instagram today.
A person needs a freely licensed photo to be in the deck. A few well-known accounts have no such photo, so they do not appear.
Good to know
Cristiano Ronaldo was the first person to reach 500 million followers. Only Instagram's own account has more, and that account is not in this quiz.
The two largest accounts in the deck are footballers, but musicians take four of the next eight places.
The photos are Wikimedia Commons portraits. The card shows the credit for each photo as you play.
