Rules & what counts
Name All DreamWorks Movies Quiz — Rules & What Counts
DreamWorks Animation has released 52 feature films since 1998. Shrek and Kung Fu Panda are the easy cards. The other 40 are the quiz.
The board shows one card per film, in release order. Each card shows only the release year. You type the titles.
The studio's early years are the trap. Between Antz and Shrek 2 sit films that most players have seen and cannot list: The Prince of Egypt, The Road to El Dorado, Spirit, Sinbad.
The quiz shows no posters and no stills. Film artwork is not free to publish, so the year is the only hint. Your memory does the rest.
How to play
Just start typing. The quiz checks your answer at every keystroke. There is no submit button.
A correct title flips its card. You can answer in any order.
Everyday names count. "Madagascar 2" solves Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, "Shrek 4" solves Shrek Forever After, and "HTTYD" solves How to Train Your Dragon.
A subtitle alone counts where it names the film. "The Last Wish" solves Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.
Spelling is forgiving. Capitals, accents and punctuation are ignored, and "Wallace and Gromit" works with or without the ampersand.
A title from another studio clears the input, so you know the quiz read the guess.
The timer starts at your first keystroke and counts up. Give Up ends the run and shows every film you missed. Progress saves automatically.
What counts in this quiz
All 52 DreamWorks Animation feature films, from Antz in 1998 to Gabby's Dollhouse: The Movie in 2025.
The three Aardman co-productions count: Chicken Run, Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit and Flushed Away.
Joseph: King of Dreams counts. It went straight to video in 2000, but it is a full DreamWorks feature film.
Orion and the Dark counts. It went straight to Netflix in 2024.
What's not included — and why
The 2025 live-action How to Train Your Dragon remake is not here. It is a Universal live-action film, not a DreamWorks Animation film.
TV series, specials and shorts are not here. Only feature films count.
Films that are announced but not released are not here. Shrek 5 arrives in 2027, and the quiz will add it then.
Pixar and Illumination films are not here. Despicable Me and Minions are Illumination.
Good to know
Shrek won the first Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, in 2002, against Pixar's Monsters, Inc.
The Prince of Egypt held the record for the biggest opening of a traditionally animated film for years — and DreamWorks dropped hand-drawn animation entirely after 2003.
Antz and A Bug's Life came out seven weeks apart in 1998, one from DreamWorks and one from Pixar, and the two studios have never agreed on who copied whom.
The Wild Robot became the studio's best-reviewed film ever in 2024.
Puss in Boots: The Last Wish came eleven years after the first Puss in Boots — the longest gap between two DreamWorks films in one series.
