What counts in this quiz
20 problems per run, each independently drawn from the four operations at easy ranges.
Ranges match the single-operation boards: sums of numbers 12–89, subtraction under 100 with positive results, times tables to 12 × 12, and exact division with divisors 2–9.
The mix itself is random — some runs are addition-heavy, some divide-everything; that variance is by design.
What's not included — and why
No negative results, remainders, or decimals anywhere — every problem resolves to a positive whole number.
No parentheses or multi-operation expressions — each problem is a single operation; order-of-operations puzzles aren't what this board tests.
Good to know
"Arithmetic" comes from the Greek arithmos, meaning number — it was one of the four mathematical arts of the medieval quadrivium.
PEMDAS is American; the UK teaches BODMAS and India BODMAS/BIDMAS — same rules, different mnemonic.
All four operations reduce to one: subtraction is adding a negative, and division is multiplying by a reciprocal.
