Norse Gods Quiz — Rules & What Counts
Each card shows one god of Norse mythology as a classic artwork — a 19th-century painting or an old manuscript image. You type the god's name.
The deck holds 18 gods: the famous five (Odin, Thor, Loki, Freyja, Frigg) and thirteen more from the Eddas.
The artworks carry their own clues. Thor raises his hammer, Idun carries her apples, Skadi stands on skis, and Tyr puts his hand in the wolf's mouth. Read the attribute and the god follows.
How to play
Every card is visible from the start. Type any god's name to solve its card.
Start typing anywhere; the answer bar catches it automatically.
Old Norse and anglicised spellings both count. "Balder" and "Baldur" solve Baldr, and "Wotan" solves Odin.
A figure that is not in the deck, such as Fenrir or Mimir, clears the input so you know the quiz read the guess.
Each card shows the god's domain, for example "God of thunder". Use the domain as a hint.
The timer starts at your first keystroke and counts up. Give Up ends the run and shows every god you missed. Progress saves automatically.
