What counts in this quiz
Every winner of the contests from 2000 to 2025. The 2020 contest was cancelled, so 25 contests decide the list.
Sweden won three times (2012, 2015 and 2023) and Ukraine won three times (2004, 2016 and 2022).
Austria and Denmark won twice each. The other 15 countries won once.
The newest winner on the map is Austria, in 2025.
What's not included — and why
Wins before 2000 do not count. Ireland holds the record with seven wins, but its last one came in 1996, so Ireland is not an answer here.
The United Kingdom, France, Luxembourg and Monaco also won only before 2000, so they are not answers either.
The quiz starts at 2000 for a reason: Yugoslavia won in 1989 and no longer exists, and the cutoff keeps every answer a country on the map today.
Good to know
Sweden's 2023 win was its seventh, which equalled Ireland's all-time record.
Loreen won for Sweden in 2012 and again in 2023 — the first woman to win the contest twice.
Azerbaijan entered the contest for the first time in 2008 and won it three years later.
Måneskin's 2021 win in Rotterdam launched the band to worldwide fame.
The 2020 cancellation was the first in the contest's history, which goes back to 1956.
