Pokémon Base Stats Higher or Lower — Rules & What Counts
Two Pokémon appear side by side. One question: which one has the higher base stat total? Tap your answer, and the streak continues until you are wrong.
The deck is the whole National Dex — all 1,025 Pokémon from Bulbasaur to Pecharunt. A pair can be a starter against a legendary, or two middle evolutions nobody remembers. A long run needs real Pokédex knowledge, not just the famous names.
How to play
Two cards are dealt. The base stat total for the Pokémon on the left is already on screen.
Tap the Pokémon you think has the higher base stat total.
A correct tap reveals the number, moves the challenger to the left, and deals the next Pokémon. Your streak goes up by one.
A wrong tap ends the run. Your score is the streak you reached.
Your best streak is in the top bar. A new record is saved and counts on the leaderboard.
Go through all 1,025 Pokémon without a miss and you complete the chain, at a streak of 1,024.
What counts in this quiz
All 1,025 Pokémon of generations 1 to 9, each shown with its official artwork and its generation.
The base stat total is the sum of the six base stats: HP, Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense and Speed.
Each Pokémon counts in its base form. Mega Evolutions, regional forms and other alternate forms are not separate cards.
Two Pokémon are never compared when their totals are close. The quiz needs a gap of at least 4%, so no question is a coin flip. In a genuine tie, either answer counts as correct.
What's not included — and why
Effort values, individual values, natures and levels are not part of the number. The quiz compares species base stats only.
Type match-ups do not matter here. A Pokémon that would win the battle can still lose the comparison.
Good to know
Arceus has the highest base stat total in the deck at 720. Wishiwashi has the lowest at 175 — until it forms a school.
Exactly 600 is the classic legendary number: Pecharunt, the Tao trio and many box legendaries' companions all sit on it.
Slaking's 670 is the highest total of any non-legendary Pokémon — higher than many legendaries. Its ability, Truant, throws half of it away in battle.
